The rapper was known for his vocal, but sporadic, presence on Twitter, while he joined Instagram in September 2016 – calling his account “art” and later uploading 99 photos to the social media platform after cancelling a show.
In May 2017, the rapper deleted both his Twitter and Instagram accounts and today marks his first posting since.
Sharing a snap on Instagram, West’s first posting on Instagram seemed to be a Valentine’s Day card. You can see it below.
Following that post, Kanye flooded the platform again, this time with a huge array of photos of famous couples, including Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Princess Diana and Prince Charles, Cindy Crawford and Richard Gere, Aaliyah and Tupac and many more.
He ended the stream with two photos of himself and his wife Kim Kardashian, captioned simply ‘Kimye’.
Earlier this month it was reported that Kanye West and Solange Knowles are both reportedly being sued for allegedly ripping off a song by Prince Phillip Mitchell.
Mitchell, aka Leroy Mitchell, has apparently claimed that both artists have sampled his 1970 track ‘If We Can’t Be Lovers’ without permission.
The songs alleged to have used the samples without authorisation are Kanye’s ‘Everything I Am’ from 2007’s ‘Graduation’ and Solange’s ‘F**k the Industry’.
